The great thing about gambling is the hope that you might be about to make it big. That 1 dollar on the national lottery could make you a millionaire. The rational part of your brain knows it's hopeless, but as those addicted to gambling can attest... there is an emotional thrill which picks you up.
This site offers a little of that thrill, in return for good, honest hard work.

- People with skills still need to pay the bills - they'd love to be in a high risk start-up, but the mortgage isn't going to pay itself.
Startaholics is a matchmaking agency bringing together people with ideas and people with skills and a little time.
People with skills
In essence you are lending your own human capital to start-ups which you judge to be promising. You may only be able to contribute a couple of hours - but that's okay. And you'll be widening your professional repertoire and making great contacts at the same time. Like a giant affiliate network, you get paid when a business starts to make an income, not before.
People with ideas
As a serial entrepreneur you may have many balls in the air at the same time... or be stuck in a rut without the capital or experience you need to turn your great idea into reality. Startaholics offers you the chance to raise capital by persuading individuals to work on your project on a future invoice basis. Startaholics is also a great business planning tool where you can really work out what you need to happen to make your project the next big thing.
Matchmaking
Browse, investigate, set a rate for a task & a deadline. Offer some constructive criticism once the job is done. Simple.
Intellectual Property
Before sharing an idea we advise you to have an NDA (non disclosure agreement) in place. Remember, your ideas are valuable and IP theft is a problem. A thorough investigation on third party sites such as LinkedIn and CrunchBase will reveal more about your potential partnership.
Future Invoice
Both the Entrepreneur and the Contractor agree at which point an invoice will be paid. This will be before any profit is taken from the business
Micro Equity
To register with Startaholics we ask you to contribute 1% equity of your startup. This will leave you with 99% of your brilliant plan, plus a way to execute your project utilising the wide set of skills available on this site.
